Westbound Lanes Of Wekiwa Road In Sand Springs Closed

SAND SPRINGS, OK -- Drivers in Sand Springs may need to find a new route.

Starting Monday, the westbound lanes of Wekiwa Road will be closed. 

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is working on widening the road to three lanes and improving the intersection at Highway 97 and the Sand Springs Expressway. 

The project is expected to cost $3.2 million and be finished in October of 2010.
