Tulsa City Council Meeting To Cover Feasibility Of Hosting Olympic Games

TULSA, OK -- Could a summer Olympics be in Tulsa's future?

The Tulsa City Council held a special meeting Tuesday morning with the Tulsa 2020 Committee to discuss the feasibility of Tulsa hosting the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

The meeting served as an update to meetings previously held on the topic.

In August, the committee of Tulsa businessmen compared Tulsa to a pre-Olympics Atlanta and said there's reason to believe a Tulsa Olympics is a realistic possibility. Atlanta was considered a dark horse, but beat out several favorites to get the 1996 games.
