TULSA, OK -- With schools struggling to survive steep budget cuts, one Green Country school has a chance to win $100,000.
That's why students from Vinita's Cowboy Junction Christian School were at the U.S. Cellular store near 41st and Sheridan in Tulsa on Saturday.
U.S. Cellular is donating a million dollars split between ten schools from around the country.
Cowboy Junction officials say they could really use the money, especially now.
"We would use this money to build classrooms and we are literally out of room. So, this was an excellent opportunity with the economy the way it is to get an opportunity to build those classrooms," said Michelle Markham, Cowboy Junction Christian School.
But, to win the school needs votes, and that's where you come in. Just visit any U.S. Cellular store to get a postage paid card to vote.
Or, students will be at Woodland Hills Mall Sunday near the food court from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
You have until January 15th to cast your vote.
Cowboy Junction is located at 27502 South 4380 Road Vinita, 74301.
Schwartz Elementary School in Oklahoma City is also in the running to win $100,000.
For more information on the program, visit U.S. Cellular's web site.
