TULSA, OK -- Some dog owners are hoping to put a smile on a child's face this Christmas.
Dozens of people and pups gathered Saturday at both of Tulsa's Bark Parks to collect toys.
"We're calling on dog lovers to come out and give back to the community. Both of these parks were built on donations and volunteers, so we're asking the people that are using the parks to go ahead and give something back to the community," said Morgan Blevins, a volunteer.
The Tulsa Salvation Army distributes the toys to local kids who wouldn't otherwise have a present under the tree.
The Salvation Army is in desperate need of toys. They're 4,000 toys short of their goal with less than a week remaining before the deadline, but you can still help. Just stop by Woodland Hills Mall or Promenade Mall and drop off a new, unwrapped toy.
