One Person Injured In Tuesday Morning Tulsa Crash

A single vehicle accident shut down traffic for about an hour in the 4900 block of North Cincinnati in Tulsa Tuesday morning.

TULSA, OK -- A single vehicle accident shut down traffic for about an hour in the 4900 block of North Cincinnati in Tulsa Tuesday morning. 

At about 7:30 a.m, Tulsa Police and Fire were dispatched to the accident near Sam Houston Elementary School. 

Police say the car was southbound on Cincinnati, when it left the roadway, struck a culvert, causing the car to flip and come to rest on a gas meter in the back yard of a home near the school.  

After getting the driver out of the car and the car off the gas meter.  ONG was called in to plug the gas meter. 

No word on how serious the driver of the car was injured or what caused the accident.

The driver was transported to a Tulsa hospital.
