UNDATED -- We all got some extra sleep overnight Sunday when we rolled our clocks back. Tulsa area firefighters want to use that extra hour as a reminder.
The Tulsa Fire Department say changing from Daylight Saving Time is the perfect opportunity to change your smoke detector batteries.
It's something firefighters encourage all year long and since we change the clocks twice a year, it's a great reminder to take a few minutes to check your smoke alarm.
If you need a smoke detector, drop by your nearest Tulsa Fire station. They'll give you one for free.
