Tulsa Police Say Falling Asleep Factor In Accident

TULSA, OK -- A traffic accident in east Tulsa sends one person to the hospital.

It happened about 12:30 a.m. on 11th Street near 145th East Avenue.

Tulsa Police say the driver was headed eastbound when he apparently fell asleep. The car went off the road and slammed into a tree.

Police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

He was taken to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out.
