TULSA, OK -- The driver of one of the vehicles that struck several horses on U.S. Highway 169 remains in a Tulsa hospital, but his condition is improving.

Hospital officials say 35-year-old Brandon Osborn is now listed in fair condition following Friday morning's accident near 56th Street North.

Authorities say 20 to 30 horses got loose from a pasture east of the highway near 56th Street North at about 3 a.m. Friday.

Four vehicles in all struck the horses, but drivers from only two of the vehicles had to be taken to a Tulsa hospital.

There is no condition yet on the other injured driver, 19-year-old Tristan Underwood.

The accidents forced police to shut down 169 in both directions for several hours.
