TULSA, OK -- A man Tulsa Police believe attempted to rob a Tulsa bank Monday morning but was rebuffed, robbed a Check 'n Go two blocks away moments later.
Police say the man, described as 5-foot-8 and weighing about 180 pounds, entered the Check 'n Go at 4989 South Union at 10:30 a.m.
He then presents a note to a teller expressing his intent to rob the business. After showing the teller a gun inside his coat, Tulsa Police say the teller gives the man the drawer from the register. The man took the cash and ran away.
He was last seen getting into a white van parked in a lot south and east of the Check 'n Go.
Tulsa Police say the man possibly attempted to enter Peoples State Bank at 4751 South Union, however bank employees denied him access.
The man, who was unshaven, was wearing a tan Carhart jacket with blue jeans and black shoes.
