TULSA, OK -- A lockdown and search at Rogers High School Wednesday revealed no illegal weapons, a TPS spokesperson says.

Tulsa Public Schools Campus Police received an anonymous tip at about 11 a.m. about a young male carrying a weapon at the school, according to TPS spokesperson Tami Marler.

Rogers was placed on lockdown, and no one was allowed to enter or leave the building for about three hours. Students remained in their classrooms throughout the search. Ten TPS officers and six Tulsa Police officers swept the main building and the adjacent freshman academy.

The search turned up no weapon and no individual that specifically matched the detailed description given by the anonymous caller; however, the investigation continues, Marler said.

District officials sent an automated telephone message in English and Spanish to inform Rogers parents of the lockdown and search.
