TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are looking for an armed suspect who waved a hand gun during what police say was an attempted bank robbery Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at the Arvest Bank in the 2500 block of West Easton.
Police say shortly after 10:30 a.m. the suspect entered the bank and inquired about opening an account.
A bank teller asked the suspect to remove his sunglasses and have a seat in the lobby. Police say the suspect complied. When another employee arrived to speak to the man, the suspect pulled a large black semi automatic handgun from his pants and raised it in the air.
The robbery suspect indicated his intent to rob the bank and ordered the employees to the ground.
Police say he then fled the bank on foot.
The suspect is described as a male 29-36 years of age, 5-10 to 6 feet tall, 160-170 pounds, wearing a white ball cap with a blue trim on the bill, a gray sweater with long sleaves and the words "Sean John" in script across the chest.
Police are asking anyone with information on this attempted robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
