TULSA---Tulsa is hosting the biggest little horse show in the nation as the American Miniature Horse Registry Nationals are held at the Tulsa Fairgrounds September 11th through 19th.
‘With approximately 1700 entries from throughout the United States, this is the place to come if you have any interest in a miniature horse whatsoever,' said AMHR Ring Steward Roger Eitel, ‘here you see the very best that we have to offer.'
Championship status brings added value to the horses and Grand Champions can sell for over 100,000 dollars. A fact that brought a smile to the face of Cindy Kanzler, who won the finals showing mare Starstruck Gold's Bay Beauty.
‘It's thrilling, it actually is and it's just such an honor to go in that class,' Cindy said, ‘she has to compete in three different divisions to get there and then go up against the best of the best in that class, so she did an outstanding job for me.'
The public is invited to come out and see these small wonders in the Ford Truck Pavilion through Saturday.
