Bartlesville Home Searched In Connection With Downtown Fire

BARTLESVILLE, OK -- Bartlesville Police and Fire investigators have searched a local home Friday morning in connection with last month's fire which destroyed a downtown Bartlesville building.  Police Chief Tom Holland confirmed to The News On 6, investigators served a search warrant at the home of Robert Boyce. 

Boyce is the owner of Robert's restaurant which was destroyed in the fire.  Holland says Boyce is a "person of interest" in connection with the fire. 

The Mays Brothers building was gutted by fire in the early hours of August 31st.

Holland says there is an element of the fire that makes it suspicious, but declined to be more specific. 

The building housed eight businesses. 

The day of the fire, Bartlesville Fire inspectors indicated the fire was caused by an electrical problem.
