TULSA, OK -- She made Green Country proud on "American Idol" several years ago, now Mellinda Doolittle is back in town to cheer on her Tulsa Union Redskins.
Doolittle is rehearsing for a special show at Union High School at 6836 South Mingo Road to kick off Union's first football game of the season against Broken Arrow Friday night.
But before she takes the stage, she offered up some "Idol" advice for Green Country's rising stars.
"I hope that people know that they already have what they need inside of them already. So, the biggest thing for me is just to tell them to dream big and to go for it and God will take those dreams and make them bigger than you could ever image," said Mellinda Doolittle.
Doolittle talked with Six in the Morning anchor LeAnne Taylor and you can see that interview Friday morning.
