TULSA, OK -- Two Tulsa educators premiered their film on the gridiron legacy of a storied Tulsa high school.
Rodney Clark and LaMar Burks have worked on and off for more than two years to bring Hornet Football Excellence to the screen. The film captures the history of the Booker T. Washington High School football program. Both Burks and Clark played for Booker T. in the 1970s.
"I'm privileged to be part of that rich tradition that not only stays with you while you're in high school, but that sticks with you for a lifetime. And, I'm proud to be a part of that," said filmmaker Rodney Clark.
The filmmakers say they made the film to share the school's past with the next generation of Hornets.
