54-Year-Old Moore Man Dies On Tulsa Highway

TULSA, OK -- 54-year-old Bruce Irvine Mathes of Moore died early Sunday morning as he drove his Freightliner semi through Tulsa on Interstate 44, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Mathes suffered an "unknown medical condition" and attempted to pull over to the side of the highway at about 1:20 a.m. He lost consciousness and ran into the guardrail at U.S. Highway 75, the trooper's report states.

Mathes was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where he was pronounced dead. No other drivers were injured in the accident.
