WEBBERS FALLS, OK -- Part of Interstate 40 at the Arkansas River was closed Monday morning because of a traffic accident.
In all, the eastbound lanes were closed for almost 6 hours.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a semi truck driver was eastbound on I-40 near Webbers Falls when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
An OHP trooper says the semi took out part of the guardrail and even landed on top of part of the bridge.
The accident caused a fuel leak which had to be cleaned up.
The driver was not hurt in the accident.
