TULSA, OK -- A man is in serious condition after attempting to flee the police in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to reports, an officer tried to pull over a vehicle at 21st and Garnett at about 3 a.m. for reckless driving.
Instead of pulling over, the car continued eastbound on 21st St. The road dead ends at 193rd, and officers stopped the pursuit but continued down the gravel road. The driver apparently swerved to avoid a parked truck, left the road and flipped upside down into a creek after going through a couple of fences.
There were two young men in the car. Officers say the driver was in serious condition and the passenger had minor injuries. Alcohol was thought to be a contributing factor, according to reports.
