TULSA, OK -- Space shuttles were the talk at Tulsa's Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday.  The executive director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum was the guest speaker.

Jim Bridenstine talked about the efforts underway to bring one of the retiring space shuttles to Tulsa for permanent display.   The Tulsa Air and Space Museum is one of 20 proposals that NASA is considering.

"I also hear we are being considered quite strongly that we had one of the better proposals in right now. And, we're the only museum not on the east or west coast to put in a package," said TASM Executive Director Jim Bridenstine.

The Tulsa Rotary helped fund the Air and Space Museum when it was being built.  NASA is expected to announce in 2011 or 2012 which locations will get retiring space shuttles.
