SI: Union Among Nation's Top Athletic Programs

TULSA, OK -- Union High School is among the top high school athletic programs in the country, according to Sports Illustrated.

SI.com released its list of top 10 athletic programs for the 2008-09 school year, with the Redskins coming in at number 10.

Sports Illustrated cited Union's state championships in wrestling and boys' cross country as well as the school's 34-10 victory over rival Jenks in the 6A state football championship.

Punahou in Honolulu, Hawaii was named the best high school athletic program by the publication for the second straight year.  The school had 21 state championships during the 2008-09 school year.
