Traffic Accident Slows Traffic On Turner Turnpike

SAPULPA, OK -- A traffic accident on the Turner Turnpike shut down the interstate highway in both directions for a time Monday afternoon at mile marker 219.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Sapulpa Fire were called to the scene of the accident between several vehicles.

The OHP said the westbound lanes were closed because of the accident and the eastbound lanes had to be closed for a short while so LifeFlight's helicopter could land.

Mile marker 219 is between Sapulpa and Kellyville.
