TAHLEQUAH, OK -- A piece of Northeastern State University's past is on display.
An exhibit to honor the school's Cherokee female seminary was dedicated Friday. It includes old photos and artifacts from the school's first days.
The university says the exhibit is the first in a series of projects by the Cherokee National Cultural Tourism Department that will focus on tribes' heritage.
