TULSA, OK -- Some area kids spent their day in the hospital.
About 500 third-graders were at St. Francis Hospital for Kids Are Special People Day.
The hospital set up tents with different safety activities, including what to do in case of a fire.
The kids also learned what to expect if they have to go to the hospital as a patient.
"They'll learn if they're going to have surgery, what to expect, how they get a patient ready to go to surgery," said Carol Conrad with St. Francis Hospital. "If they have to go to the ER, they'll give them some examples of what happens when you're in the ER."
It was the 29th year for Kids Are Special People Day.
