TULSA, OK -- A woman is critically injured in an early Monday morning auto pedestrian accident.

Tulsa Police say the woman stepped in front of a moving vehicle at 63rd and Lewis.

Because of the incident, police shut down Lewis from 61st to 67th Streets for several hours.

Police say the woman was struck at about 4 a.m.

The driver told police officers he was on his way to work out when a woman just walked right in front of him.

The woman was taken to a Tulsa hospital.

Her name has not been released.
