TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa firm has laid off more employees early last week.
Nordam's CEO Bill Peacher has confirmed to the News On 6, that the aerospace company laid off 47 employees in Tulsa last week. That was one week before the company announced a new contract with Boeing.
Peacher says the latest layoffs will not affect the work to be done for Boeing.

He says the layoffs are in manufacturing and a direct result of the slowing sales of new business aircraft because of the economy.
In another cost-saving measure, Peacher says some Nordam employees will be asked to take a 3 week furlough.
