Head Of The VA Visits Muskogee

MUSKOGEE, OK -- The Secretary of the Veterans Adminstration stopped in Muskogee Friday morning.

Secretary Eric Shinseki visited the VA's regional benefits office.

The Muskogee VA Regional Office is the largest regional office in the nation with nearly 1,100 employees. 

The office processes disability compensation claims, Education benefits claims, and Vocational Rehabilitation cases. 

The office is home to three VA call centers:  a National Call Center, the national Education Call Center, and Direct Deposit Call Center. 

Before stopping in Muskogee, the Secretary was in Texas Thursday, visiting a medical center and cemetery in San Antonio.
