TULSA, OK -- Tulsa police officers arrested two people following a pair of chases overnight.
The first police chase started around 2 a.m. Thursday, when officers tried to pull over a Chevy Suburban. The driver took off and sped through city streets and even drove into oncoming traffic on I-244.
Police say the 40-year-old driver then got off the highway then tried to run off on foot.
Tulsa police used their helicopter to track the suspect, Thomas Butler, Jr., locating him in a creek near the 1600 block of North Vandalia. Officers on the ground arrested him a short time later.
Police say Butler told them about a meth lab in his motel room, which officers located at the Royal Inn on West Skelly Drive.
Another police chase overnight ended with a man crashing a motorcycle.
The wreck occurred near 61st and Riverside Drive.
Police tried to stop the man who was riding a dirt bike, but they say he wouldn't pull over.
The motorcyclist ended up laying down the motorcycle and was taken to the Tulsa County jail on suspicion of DUI.
No one was hurt in either chase.
