Arrests Made After Tulsa Head-On Collision

TULSA, OK -- Emergency crews responded to a hit and run, head-on collision overnight on Sunday. The collision happened at about 1:45 a.m. at Pine and Urbana.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department said both drivers crossed the center line and hit head-on. The driver of one of the vehicles ran away, but was found in a nearby backyard and was arrested.

The driver of the other vehicle was injured and taken to a local hospital, officers said. Passengers of this vehicle were treated at the scene.

Officers said they believe everyone involved in the collision had been drinking.

While police worked the collision, a man drove through the scene and was stopped. Officers said the man failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.

The Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA responded to the scene.
