JAIPUR, India (AP) - Two school children have been injured by a moderate, 5.3 magnitude earthquake in the western Indian desert state of Rajasthan today.
Police say the quake caused cracks in dozens of homes.
Panicked residents rushed out of their homes as they felt the tremor for a few seconds.
Police say the children were injured by falling stones as the temblor partially damaged their school building inside a 850-year-old red sandstone fort. Nearly 5,000 people live inside the fort.
The quake area borders Pakistan.
