TULSA, OK -- Two more University of Tulsa football games for the 2009 season have been added to the national television schedule, it was announced Wednesday. The Hurricane will now have six nationally-televised contests.
CBS College Sports Network has added two Tulsa games to its national schedule for the 2009 football season. Tulsa's road game at Rice on October 3, and Tulsa's home game against Houston on November 7 will now be televised nationally. Both games have start times of 6:30 p.m.
It had already been announced that the Hurricane would play four contests on ESPN. Tulsa's ESPN games include the season opener at Tulane on September 4, Boise State on October 14, at UTEP on October 21 and against East Carolina on November 15.
"We are extremely excited about the national television exposure," said Tulsa Head Coach Todd Graham. "It speaks volumes about our program and how far we have come over the last few seasons. To be selected four times for ESPN and twice for CBS College Sports shows the national attention that our program is beginning to attract."
Tulsa's final two games of the 2009 campaign could be added to the CBS College Sports schedule as a 12-day out selection. Those games include at Southern Miss (November 21) and the season finale at home against Memphis (November 28).
In addition, Tulsa's contest at New Mexico will be televised regionally on the MountainWest Sports Network.
