Tulsa Police: Pole Stops Speeding Motorist

TULSA, OK --  Tulsa firefighters work to free a man trapped in his car after hitting a utility pole overnight.

The accident happened at 4th and Harvard late Wednesday.

Tulsa Police say a 21-year old man was speeding in his car when he lost control and hit the pole.

The driver was trapped in his vehicle for about an hour until firefighters could get him out.

Police are investigating whether alcohol was involved.

Police say the victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital where is listed in stable condition.
