OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Big 12 women's basketball tournament is under way in Oklahoma City.
Courtney Paris scored a season-high 27 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked six shots to lead No. 3 Oklahoma to a 76-59 victory over Kansas in the Big 12 tournament quarterfinals on Friday.
Kansas State played Colorado in the first game, with No. 5 Kansas State moving on to Friday's game against No. 4 Texas A&M. They beat Colorado 68-51.
Kansas and Nebraska tipped off game two at 1:30 Thursday afternoon. No. 8 Kansas was able to stay on top of No. 9 Nebraska 61-56.
Texas and Missouri starting play at 5 p.m. with No. 6 Texas squeezing past No. 11 Missouri 62-59. Texas will top off against No. 3 Iowa State at 7 p.m. Friday.
And No. 10 Oklahoma State overcame No. 7 Texas Tech 63-57 to get a chance at No. 2 Baylor Friday at 5 p.m.
Top-seeded and regular season conference champion Oklahoma along with Baylor, Iowa State and Texas A&M had first-round byes.
