TULSA, OK - There are two big developments for Tulsa's RiverParks. A locally based restaurant has plans for a year-round location at 21st and Riverside. The full-service shop would replace the closed Rivers Edge.
And, construction on the gathering spot at 41st Street is underway with major funding from QuikTrip. The playground is finished and a river overlook was just completed. The RiverParks Trail has been rerouted in front of the new plaza and playground.
"What's going on now is construction on the restroom and the pavilion, and we made a lot of progress there and the water features construction is coming soon, and the pavers, this spring definitely, hopefully late April we'll be open to the public," said Tulsa RiverParks Director Matt Meyer.
RiverParks has also opened another mile of improved trail and continues to move south with the trail widening project.
