CREEK COUNTY, OK -- Thursday's warm and windy weather helped fuel flames and made a tough job more difficult for firefighters.
Firefighters say a fire started a few days ago near Bristow when a man was burning on his land.
The fire spread into an area that was difficult for firefighters to access. No property was in danger, so they left it.
Winds pushed the fire onto someone else's property, where it came close to some cars and buildings.
More than a thousand acres were burned.
