TULSA, OK -- Since January 29, Tulsa's Public Works Department have patched 14,302 potholes.
On January 29, Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor launched the Pothole Patrol program to encourage citizens to report potholes.
Winter is typically the worst time of the year for potholes.
Public Works officials say pothole reports have declined substantially since the first week following Tulsa's January ice storm, but crews are patrolling the streets and filling thousands of potholes a day as weather permits.
Tulsans are still encouraged to report potholes by calling the Mayor's Action Center at 596-2100, or report them online at: www.cityoftulsa.org.
