1 medium banana, cut into chunks
1 naval orange (see tips!), peeled and sectioned
5 fresh whole strawberries, hulled
1 (6 oz.) container Hiland Strawberry yogurt
½ c. Hiland orange juice
½ c. ice cubes
½ tsp. vanilla extract
Place all ingredients in blender container. Pulse, then blend until smooth. Add more ice cubes to thicken, if desired. Pour into a chilled glass, garnish with a fresh strawberry and share your smoothie with your sweetheart!
Kitchen Kimberley's Tips:
• If you can find it, a blood orange would provide extra tang and a nice, rich red color instead of the naval orange. They are usually available around Valentine's Day. Either one, blood orange or naval orange, is delicious in this recipe!
• For another variation, use light grape juice or cranberry juice in place of the orange juice.
