UNDATED -- Almost two weeks after an ice storm covered much of northeast Oklahoma, more than a thousand people are still in the dark.
Ozark Electric officials say state Emergency Management leaders toured some of the hardest hit areas Saturday.
It's the first step in asking President Obama to declare the area a major disaster -- making federal dollars available to rebuild.
Crews have restored electricity to 95 percent of those who lost power, leaving 1,100 in Oklahoma and 2,600 in Arkansas remaining.
