TULSA, OK -- The potential for grass and brush fires is high across Oklahoma through Saturday.
As winds increase and temperatures climb, conditions across the state could have Oklahoma issuing a Red Flag fire alert.
News On 6 meteorologist Dick Faurot explains what a 'high fire danger' means and what factors play into a decision to issue a warning.
Faurot also says it is critical to not burn anything outdoors during times of "high fire danger."
Faurot also suggesting two web sites:
1. Oklahoma Wildfire Management
2. Oklahoma Forestry Services and Wildfires
Already, a number of counties across Oklahoma have issued burn bans.
