MUSKOGEE, OK -- Muskogee County residents have been told it could be Monday before their lights come back on. There are 200 homes without electricity in the City of Muskogee, and 1,500 more across the county.
Ice is still weighing down tree limbs, and pulling down power lines. Roads are in worse shape.
"I'm in the service industry. I service linens to hospitals, so I can't get there. Driving is very difficult. The employees, they don't want to get out in it, so it's tough," said Jim Owens of Fort Gibson.
Plows have attacked the slushy streets, trying to get them clear before they freeze back overnight.
