SKIATOOK -- A burglary victim is speaking out about what she says are the dangers of home healthcare.
Last summer, Emma Roberts hired a healthcare worker to take care of her ailing husband.
She says the worker, Linda Walter, stole thousands of dollars of jewelry, valuable coins and other personal property.
Walter pleaded guilty to burglary charges.
Roberts has since moved her husband into a nursing home and says it's the first time they've been apart during their 59 years of marriage.
"It's been devastating," Emma Roberts said. "It's a death in the family, in a way. It's a loss."
Walter will be sentenced Monday.
