Miss Oklahoma To Compete For Miss America Crown

UNDATED -- Miss Oklahoma 2008 Kelsey Cartwright will compete for the crown of Miss America 2009 on Saturday night.

It is no secret that quite a few Oklahomans have earned that prestigious pageant title and the Collinsville native tells The News On 6 she has gotten some expert advice from some women who know how to bring home the crown.

"Shawntel Smith, Jennifer Barry and Lauren Nelson have all been here, and they've been incredible and very nice to me, giving me some helpful advice and really encouraging me and helping me out a lot," said Kelsey Cartwright, Miss Oklahoma 2008.
