Final Phase Of I-44 Widening Project To Begin

TULSA, OK -- The final phase of the Interstate 44 widening project gets underway Tuesday morning.

Almost a mile of westbound Skelly Drive, from Newport to Riverside, will be blocked for construction work.

The westbound I-44 off ramp to Riverside will also be closed.

The $360 million project will expand the interstate to four lanes from Yale to the Arkansas River and may not be done for four years.
