UNDATED - Some Oklahomans took part in the famous Rose Parade in California.

The Pride of Broken Arrow was among the marching bands.  The band made the nearly 1,300 mile trip to Pasadena through various fund raising events.  The band will make the long trip home on Friday, but only after they do a little sightseeing in Hollywood.

Also in the parade was Jenks High School Junior Chris Adkins.  Adkins played the bass drum in the Bands of America Honor Band.  He auditioned for the honor band in February and was accepted in April, so this trip was a long time in the making for him.
