OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Fewer people are dying on Oklahoma roads and highways this year compared to last.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Saturday there were 679 traffic-related deaths so far in 2008. That compares to 751 traffic fatalities during the same period in 2007.
December also appears to be less deadly for motorists in Oklahoma. So far, 43 people have died this month in traffic accidents, compared to 59 deaths during the same time last December.
