OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Plummeting gasoline prices is leaving gas station owners with a difficult decision concerning the type of fuel they sell.
The Oklahoma Petroleum Marketers Association says pure gasoline is now cheaper than ethanol blends.
A gas station in Oklahoma City says it just makes sense to switch to pure gas. They say it saves the store money and makes customers happy.
"Many of our customers demanded or needed pure gas," said gas station owner Babu Peringol.
"Ethanol is a little worse on your engine. Regular fuel is better for your engine. It's more fuel-efficient," said motorist Matthew Watkins.
Some retailers say if gas prices start to increase dramatically again, drivers may see a switch back to ethanol blends.
