Judge Puts Conditions On Former Mayor's Release

Charley Smith had been sentenced to 10 years for being drunk and causing a crash that killed Coweta chiropractor Shawn Lee.

UNDATED -- A judge put conditions on the early release of former Haskell mayor, Charley Smith.

Smith had been sentenced to 10 years for being drunk and causing a crash that killed Coweta chiropractor Shawn Lee.

Lee's family was outraged when the judge released Smith after only six months.

Now, the judge says Smith is not to drink or be in bars or liquor stores.

He must attend AA meetings and pay to put an alcohol monitoring device in his home and wear a bracelet that does same, plus, attend a panel of victim speakers.
