MUSKOGEE, OK -- A Muskogee hotel owner will refund more than $2,000 to 70 customers in a price-gouging case that goes back to last year's ice storm.

La Quinta Inn and Suites in Muskogee violated Oklahoma's price-gouging statue by illegally increasing room rates during the ice storms.

Read the Oklahoma AG office news release.

The Emergency Price Stabilization Act prohibits raising room rates during a state of emergency.

Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson says nearly 70 people who stayed at the hotel between December 10th and December 20th of 2007 will receive refunds.
