TULSA, OK -- Tulsa's new driver's license test site makes state history. It's the first Oklahoma testing station inside a mall. And, state leaders say the Eastgate Metroplex site at 14002 E. 21st Street has a lot of benefits.
Not only can you take a written or driving test, but there's an attorney on site that can deal with things like suspended licenses. Plus, the public safety commissioner says it's a great atmosphere and really convenient.
"At many of our sites, they don't' have enough parking and the access is not that great. And so, this is really gonna be beneficial to the public and which is what we're excited about," said Public Safety Commissioner Kevin Ward.
The new site replaces the Jenks' testing station that closed a couple weeks ago. The state says it just outgrew that location.
