Student Recovers After Being Shot

LANGSTON, OK --  A Langston University student is recovering after being shot. 

The shooting happened Tuesday afternoon in Langston. 

Police say the unidentified student was shot in the shoulder and is listed in fair condition at a Guthrie hospital. 

Police have arrested a suspect but are still investigating what led to the shooting. 

"Shouldn't nobody have to bring weapons to school because we're all here for education, play sports, whatever we come here to do," said Langston University student Martavias Hines.

Police say this was an isolated incident, so they didn't call for a lockdown of the campus on Tuesday.
