CLAREMORE, OK -- Police have arrested three men on complaints the three were operating what authorities say was a con.
Claremore Police detective John Singer says the suspects reportedly picked out a victim and tricked that victim into giving the trio a large sum of money.
Claremore Police arrested 69-year old Willie Williams, 64-year old Donald Stovall and 62-year old Thomas Brewer following an incident last week.
Detective Singer says the suspected con started with a discussion with the victim about the "reliability of banks." Singer says the suspects then convinced the victim to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash from a Claremore bank.
Following their arrests, all three suspects were booked into the Rogers County jail.
Singer says the suspects, all from the Dallas, Texas area, attempted a similar con in Owasso last week and then in Claremore, where they were apprehended.
